BURN-IN

Exhibition
Between screen surfaces, photographic fragments, and residual narrative images, the duo exhibition BURN-IN by Jascha Froh and Jonathan Joosten unfolds a condition of visual aftereffect. The exhibition takes as its point of departure the phenomenon of “burn-in”: the ghostly inscription of static images into digital displays that remain visible long after their original content has disappeared. What initially appears as a technical defect becomes here a conceptual figure for memory, repetition, and the persistence of images within a present defined by constant circulation.
